How Can I Help

Erasmus Darwin House needs your support to help it raise awareness of Erasmus Darwin and to help it to achieve its key aims.

The Mission Statement is:-

• To promote international awareness of the Life and Achievements of Erasmus Darwin (1731-1802) and the manner in which they relate to today's world. To do this in a way that is enjoyable and easily understood by all.

The Key Aims of Erasmus Darwin House are:-

• To preserve Erasmus Darwin House as a museum and the focal point for information about Erasmus Darwin and the Lunar Society for both present and future generations.
• To interpret and present Erasmus Darwin's life, writings and inventions to visitors of all ages.
• To encourage appreciation and understanding of Darwin's contribution to the development of science, technology, literature and medicine.
• To provide a first-class service and visitor experience in all activities associated with the House.

Erasmus Darwin House has to survive solely on the monies it raises through exhibitions, lectures and events staged at the house. It does not receive any large grants and is therefore dependent upon its own financial resources. You can help by making a donation or by helping in kind. Donations are acknowledged as follows:-
