| Erasmus Darwin's second wide Elizabeth (nee Pole) was painted with one of her sons by Joseph Wright some years before she married ED. I'd be interested to know whether the paintings still exists, and if so where it is kept/ displayed. Any help much appreciated. |

The painting of Elizabeth and her son Sacheverel does still exist but unfortunately it is in private ownership and not accessible by the public. |

| Does anybody know if anything remains of the botanic garden Erasmus Darwin created near Lichfield, and whether the site is accessible to the public today for example by a public footpath? |

The remains of the garden are said to be on private land on the edge of Lichfield- not open to the public. Precious little remains! |

I understand the majority of Darwin's botanic garden off Abnalls Lane is on private land and not accessible to the public. |
